![]() I can tell you that the micro-9 takes more effort to rack the slide not a lot, but definitely more. I have both the P238 and a Kimber Micro-9 (not a micro-380). Thanks in advance for any help you can offer. If there was one in stock locally I wouldn't need to ask these questions, but I'm not going to order one on line without knowing pretty well what I'm going to get. I'd love to make a good decision this time. I've been stung on guns I ordered in the past - guns that seemed to be just what I wanted but turned out to be NOT SO, and I wound up taking a big loss selling or trading them. If I sound way too picky please bear with me. Specific experience can be "my wife who has little hand strength also" or other person you know well, but "I heard." stuff won't help me one bit. I need specific experience with the Kimber Micro and with one of the other two guns mentioned above for comparison purposes. If I do get one, it will be an alternate carry gun for me and no way do I want to spend any money on another gun that is "sometimes" OK, like the Shield EZ. Lots of the you tube videos already do that. Comparing it to another brand of mini 1911 will be useless to me. Comparing it to the P238 is comparing apples to apples. How does the Kimber Micro compare in accuracy to either the Shield or the P238. AND can the mag release button be reversed for us left handed shooters?Ĥ. Ex: Fiocchi, Aguila, American Eagle, Blazer brass, etc. Also very nice to know is how reliable it is when shooting decent quality range ammo. This would be a deal breaker for me since I have such little strength left in my hands now.Ģ. ![]() What I do not know and can't seem to find out is how hard is it to rack the Kimber slide: SPECIFICALLY compared to the S&W Shield EZ in. I know I really like the looks of one specific model of the Kimber 1911 Micro. I know the weight is very close to my P238's. ![]() I know the grip size AND the trigger pull is (7 lbs) almost identical to my P238's. I know the size is almost identical to my SIG P238's. I have watched several you tube videos and read several reviews. I still need more information on comparison between the two guns: LOL I love my two P238's but saw a beautiful model of the Kimber Micro on line and proceeded to do some research. FYI - I have never experienced a malfunction with either of the guns.Like most of us, I do not need another gun, but I might want one. ![]() As I write this I realize that I need to break my addiction to the LCP and start to carry the Sig p938. You can buy two LCPs for the price of one p938. The LCP even with the Hogue grip and extended magazne is no fun to shoot. There is no comparison when it comes to accuracy, firepower, how quickly I could bring the gun into use. The Sig is slightly larger in all dimensions and quite a bit heavier. Original wooden grips, flush six round magazine, Nemesis pocket holster and round in the chamber, cocked & safety on. Six months ago I bought a p938 Equinox with the idea of replacing the LCP as my daily carry. I use the Hogue Junior rubber grip and the seven round extended magazine. I do not carry the LCP with a round in the chamber. I usually carry it in the right front pocket of my Levi's or cargo shorts depending on the weather. I got the LCP first and it has been my daily CCW carry in a Desantis Nemesis pocket holster for the last two years. Very glad I bought it last year before Calif eliminated the single shot exemption as of 12-31-14. I am extremely pleased with the Sig p938. I am lazy and the lcp weighs about half what the p938 does. My normal pocket carry is a Ruger lcp in a Nemesis (no round in the chamber). On occasion I do pocket carry with the flush six round magazine in a Desantis Nemesis pocket holster - coked & locked. I prefer to shoot the gun with the extended seven round Sig magazines. Most of the 9mm ammo I shoot at the range is from Walmart - either Federal aluminum case or Perfecta Brass. My carry round is Federal LE HST 147 grain. This greatly improves the fit in my hand and reduces the felt recoil with 9mm. I have also added the Hogue rubber wrap around grip. I also have the Sig p938-22 conversing kit (the shorter standard length slide with Siglite night sights). Min that time I've out about 500 rounds through the gun without a hick up.
